Exercise or Diet?: The Beginning

Have you been caught up into a conundrum concerning about losing weight? To whether choose exercise or diet as a first step? Oh well, I bet, you are not alone.

Thousands of men and women around the world have started to become aware of their physical apperances, especially in keeping their fit body for many various reasons; some wants to change their lifestyle to prevent and cease the occurence of certain illnesses. While there are those people who had the realization that being unhealthy is a dangerous path to take and others just have an urge to show-off how beautifully they are well-made by their perfectly paired genes.

Whatever your reasons are, when you have decided that you’ll take that road towards being fit, there really is no turning back.

Why? Because you have to be always motivated and eager in order to reach the goals you have established and once you stopped, you’ll going to be starting again from the bottom.

After those motivational speeches from your friends and loved ones, you have decided that you will work hard and earn the healthy life, body and mind you really wanted. But then a question suddenly surfaced into your thoughts, where to begin? Is it good to start cutting of what I eat in a day? Or should I start to do vigorous exercises?

Here’s the thing, at the beginning of this grande scheme, following religiously the plans and programs will go as smooth as the butt of the baby; however, as you begin to feel the screaming pains and protests of your body, for sure, you will start to procrastinate to do your daily exercises and daily meal plans. And this will be the dawn of the failure of your #fitnessdiaries.

So, what would be the most advisable plan to take? That is:

  • To cut down a small amount of calories from your diet. For example, if you are into eating a piece of cake every after meal, try to cut it out for one meal or replace it with a fiber-rich and sweetish fruit, to satisfy your perky taste buds.
  • To exercise just a couple of minutes. And when I say exercise, it does not necessarily mean that you’ll have to sweat galloons of water. Just a couple of walking around the house or around your courtyard would do after a couple of hours from taking your meal, and it will burn a couple of calories from the foods that you have eaten every meal.

Diet and exercise must be in synchrony if you really want to pull off the goal you have in your mind.

This is supported by the Physiology of our body, that the amount of excess calories must be burned so that it will not be stored as a fat by the body which will when happens to accumulate, would lead to obesity.

Of course, to make this plan not go to waste prematurely, I advice to do all things in moderation and not to go extreme. Staying healthy and fit does not happen overnight. It takes months to years to accomplish it.

Good luck and break a leg towards living well, healthy and fit lifestyle.
